CCJ agencies provide immigration relief for victims of domestic abuse and violent crime to protect and assist them as they try to create better opportunities for themselves and their children.
Recently, CLASI Supervising Attorney Marissa Band had the honor of presenting a permanent resident card (commonly known as a “green card”) to her long-time client, who is a survivor of domestic violence. Having a green card will enable this grateful client to more easily find work, obtain services usually denied to immigrants, and get on a path to citizenship.
Every day, CCJ is proud to support the legal advocates for individuals and families who are victims of crime as they navigate the complex immigration system.
