Profundo Bono returns for another season, and retired Judge Robert B. Young has outdone himself! What do you get when you cross the Women’s Christian Temperance Union, a bunch of gangsters, Prohibition, and a somewhat talented cast of legal professionals as actors and musicians? Why, you get THE PUBLIC ENEMY: Runnin’ Wild! Tickets are on sale now for this rip-roaring musical comedy suitable for the enjoyment of all ages for the following gala performances:
- Friday, November 17, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at The Tatnall Theatre in Wilmington
- Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at The Tatnall Theater in Wilmington
- Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Middle School Auditorium in Dover
The story combines the straight-laced ladies of the WCTU, who want to clean up the community, and the Chicago mob, who just want to clean up, to bring about Prohibition. Lining up against those strange bed-fellows were the entire alcohol industry, the Catholic Church, the medical community, and pretty much anyone with any sense. But the movement just wouldn’t die, because it was, after all, “The Noble Experiment.” Where could this incendiary amalgam end? Well, you will acquire that critical information by enjoying THE PUBLIC ENEMY: Runnin’ Wild.
As with shows of years past, the entire cast and musical entourage of The Public Enemy is comprised of Delaware judges and legal professionals with talent galore. Under the incomparable directorship of Gail Wagner, and musical director Michelle Webb, audiences are sure to delight in the legendary sweet sounds of “Mary and The Adolescents” featuring the Honorable Mary Johnston, Tom Walsh, Rob Young, Matt Boyer, Brad Goewert, Mike Hoffman, Alan Hodesblatt, Debbie Gottschalk, Jan Glasscock, and Aaron Goldstein.
Tickets to this musical extravaganza are, once again, $25.00 each, and all proceeds benefit the Combined Campaign for Justice, which enables Delaware’s three legal services agencies–Community Legal Aid Society, Inc., Delaware Volunteer Legal Services, Inc., and Legal Services Corporation of Delaware, Inc.–to continue to provide legal services to low-income Delaware families in need of assistance.
You won’t want to miss the feel good event of the year!
