Remembering MC Byrd

January 4, 2022 by Molly McPheeters

We are saddened to learn of the passing of MC Byrd. The leaders of the Delaware State Bar Association, and the three legal aid organizations engaged MC to provide strategic leadership of the Campaign when it was first formed in 1998. Through her leadership and guidance, the Campaign exceeded expectations of funds raised in its first year and became the envy of legal aid private bar fundraising campaigns across the country. MC provided her expertise, humor, and occasional strong-arming of volunteers and leaders to CCJ for 20 years. We are grateful for her contribution improving access to justice in Delaware and send our deepest condolences to her friends and family.

MC’s obituary can be found here: https://www.delawareonline.com/obituaries/wnj119437
