Meet CLASI paralegal, Chris Winslow!
I’ve been a paralegal at CLASI since 2001, mostly helping people who have problems concerning Social Security Disability benefits. I’ve found this to be the most rewarding work I’ve ever done, even though things are sometimes frustrating. Often, people who come here for help are confused about what their rights are, and are upset and angry from trying to deal with governmental agencies’ rules and procedures on their own. We can help them to navigate the system and make sure their cases are handled correctly by SSA. Preserving or increasing the income of persons with disabilities not only helps their quality of life, but can sometimes be the difference between life and death.
When I’m not at the office, I enjoy working with greyhound rescue organizations, hanging out with my four dogs, quilting, poking around in antique stores, cooking, and reading … but not all at the same time.
