Meet DVLS Staff Attorney, Nicole Mozee!
For as long as I can remember, I knew I wanted to be an attorney and help the public. My father was the lead plaintiff in an employment discrimination case that spanned nearly 20 years before he obtained justice. His story and admiration for his legal team and judge inspired me to follow in their shoes and create a path in the legal field.
Once enrolled at New York Law School, I immediately discovered my passion for public interest law. I focused on civil rights, family law, and social justice issues. After graduating law school, I briefly worked in criminal defense and later worked for the Delaware Department of Labor Office of Anti-Discrimination.
Currently, at DVLS, I specialize in family law such as protection orders and custody. One of my most memorable cases involved representing a homeless person who was gravely mistreated by a significant other, and successfully obtained a lifetime order of protection. Legal aid is a great way to be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud.
