Support and Donations for Partner Agencies

March 24, 2020 by Molly McPheeters

People’s Place II, Inc. (http://peoplesplace2.com/)

People’s Place is a multi-service non-profit that is dedicated to helping people find their path to independence through vital  programs and services to the families, adults, and children in Kent and Sussex counties.  People’s Place and CLASI serve common clients, including: domestic violence survivors and their children living in the Abriendo Puertas and SAFE shelters and 24/7 domestic violence hotlines run by People’s Place; survivors and their children utilizing counseling services, and families who have experienced domestic violence and must utilize the Family Visitation Centers in Kent and Sussex Counties, managed by People’s Place; and low-income individuals and families facing homelessness who receive shelter and case management at Whatcoat Social Services, operated by People’s Place.  People’s Place operates other programs including  a group care residential program for foster care youth, Independent Living, and a Veteran’s Program.

Child Inc. (www.childinc.com)

Child Inc. is a multi-service non-profit providing comprehensive programs and services to children and families who have been abused or victimized.  Child Inc., DVLS, and CLASI serve common clients, including participants in Child Inc.’s programs, such as:  children and families receiving counseling services; children living in Child Inc.’s foster care homes or in Child Inc.’s shelter for abused and neglected children; women and children living in one of Child Inc.’s two domestic violence shelters in New Castle County; domestic violence victims receiving services from Child Inc.’s Domestic Violence Advocacy Programs at the state’s three Family Court locations; and domestic violence victims receiving services from Child Inc.’s 24/7 domestic violence hotline and/or family visitation center in New Castle County.

In light of the public health crisis caused by COVID-19, the shared vulnerable clients of CLASI, DVLS, People’s Place, and Child Inc. are in need.  Throughout the public health crisis, our partners at both Child Inc. and People’s Place continue to offer critical shelter services to survivors of domestic violence and low-income individuals.  They need your help to keep the operation of the shelters safe and healthy for those living and working in the shelters, and those continuing to provide services via critical agency programs.

Both agencies have a need to purchase or receive the items below, in order to keep the shelter residents and staff safe:

  • Disposable gloves
  • Disposable masks
  • Disposable thermometers
  • Disinfecting wipes
  • Paper towels
  • Disinfecting cleaning products
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Tylenol for adults and kids

Monetary donations can be made online and/or sent to the addresses below.
In-kind donations can be sent to:
