Delaware lawyers created the first organization to serve disadvantaged and low income people in 1946. Today, Community Legal Aid Society, Inc. (CLASI), Delaware Volunteer Legal Services (DVLS) and Legal Services Corporation of Delaware (LSCD) annually provide civil legal assistance to over 12,000 people facing homelessness, domestic violence, and hunger.
