Your Generosity Helped “Joe” – Vietnam Vet

“Joe”, a Vietnam veteran, owns his manufactured home but rents the lot in a manufactured home park. Joe’s landlord miscalculated manufactured home relocation fees, significantly overstating what Joe owed. After attempting unsuccessfully to resolve this on his own with the landlord, Joe withheld rent. The landlord then attempted to evict him and sued for possession of the lot. The legal services attorney successfully represented Joe and negotiated a settlement for him to stay in the manufactured home park. Had legal services not been available to represent this veteran, it is highly likely that he would have become homeless.
